Job Description

SACOTA is offering an internship opportunity for a motivated graduate looking to build a career in the South African agricultural commodities industry. The internship is ideally suited to a graduate with a background in Agricultural Economics and a strong interest in the commercial grain and oilseed environment. This is an opportunity to gain an industry-wide perspective of how South Africa's grain and oilseed value chains operate. Exposure: Assist permanent staff with their daily responsibilities covering areas such as: • Gain exposure to the grain and oilseed trading environment • Develop an understanding of commodity markets, • Exposure to market information. • Gain exposure to grain and oilseed logistics, storage, imports and exports. • Accompany staff to attend industry meetings. • Develop an understanding of SACOTA's interaction with government departments. • Assist with research, data analysis, etc. The position is available for on a part-time for a maximum of six months.
